Cultivating Employee Commitment to Achieve Excellence

Quality comes from commitment, not as a byproduct of satisfaction. Although the two entities are quite related, most often than not the disconnect lies in the continuum flow.

The flow is simple: Satisfaction leads to --> Commitment leads to --> Excellence.

But then merely achieving employee satisfaction in an organization cannot lead to achieving excellence!
The simplest measure of commitment can be by measuring the alignment. Alignment between organization's Mission and Employee Motivation.

The million dollar question is "What are the Employee's personal Stakes?" . The stakes drive the commitment, and the commitment also drives overall satisfaction amongst peers.

How to set the stage for Commitment:

~Ensure good welcome tours and introduction.

~ Introduction to the Job, role in the organization's Vision.

~Written Job Description.

~Review by Manager of Job Expectation.

~Adequate resources to do the Job.

~Assign Buddy to field question.

"Commitment unlocks the doors of imagination, allows vision, and gives us the "right stuff" to turn our dreams into reality." ~ James Womack
